
"Fredbricksburg" is a microscale rendering of a make-believe city. This city features an airport; a shipping port; a thriving shopping district; a downtown core with skyscrapers and public parks; a comprehensive transportation network complete with railroad, cars, trucks, monorail and traffic signals; public education facilities and stadiums; a hospital; a convention center/hotel; a US Navy base (with heliport); and other features. Design began in December, 2024 and construction wrapped up in March, 2026.


The original test of a Micropolis Diamond shaped block
The titular space station from Star Trek's Deep Space Nine series, this mini model was built as a companion display piece to LEGO's 10356 U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. The station is made up of 4600 pieces and is visited by a midi-scale model of the Galaxy-Class Enterprise, as well as the USS Defiant.
OcTan is one of the LEGO fuel company brands. The colors mimic a 7-Eleven store in the USA.
Micropolis2 is a modular building standard, for assembling small LEGO cities.
These quarter-blocks are the smallest standard module size in Micropolis.
This is modeled after a neighborhood Fire Station in East Palo Alto, California. There is parking at the rear of the building, so the trucks can drive forward into the truck bays. There is LED lighting in the building, to back-light the windows and roll-up doors.

This model is a "Control Point" at a blind turn along the main line tracks around the town. This module has two parts, to it can be packed for transport in a smaller tub. This was part of my COVID Project, building a modular mainline train that borders Micropolis.

This modular model can be a pass-through yard, or two single-ended yards. It wil have some 1/2-block "industry" business behind the yard. This was part of my COVID Project, building a modular mainline train that borders Micropolis.

It all started when I put a few plates together with a couple pairs of Minifig Roller Skates, and I set about trying to make a modular train that could wrap around a Micropolis city. This became my COVID Project, and continued to blossom. I modified the Micropolis block standard to allow for putting power "under the streets" using open bases and arch bricks on the edges. This became Micropolis 2.

This model adapts the Micropolis Mainline to wrap around the new "Diamond District" blocks, (My control Tower was built to wrap around a rectangular city, Then "Dag" brought his first Diamond blocks, and I had to find a way to wrap around them. This was part of my COVID Project, building a modular mainline train that borders Micropolis.
